February 2020 Target Try On Haul
It’s time for a budget-friendly spring outfits Target try on haul! The other day I found myself at the happiest place on Earth (aka Target) while I was waiting for traffic to die down after work. I can’t believe how long it’s been since I did a Target try-on haul! I used to do one almost weekly. I guess that’s what happens when you don’t work from home anymore and your plate is full overflowing! I ended up finding some amazing pieces that are super versatile and perfect for spring! I was able to find many of these budget-friendly items available in plus sizes too, which I linked along with some shoe options for certain outfits.
Read on for my favorite spring Target try on haul finds!
My TTS sizing: 5’11”, Top (L), Dress (L/10), Pants (L/12) So if I say I size up one, it means I either sized up to 12 or XL, down one would be an 8 or M, etc.
This sweater midi dress is to die for! It’s perfect for work but cozy enough to wear while traveling. I have seen so many bloggers wearing this dress but never thought to try it on because items like this don’t usually fit my wide hips. I was wrong! This new Target brand, Prologue, know how to fit a woman’s figure. They’ve built in extra room for your hips which makes it fit perfectly. This dress looks so chic and classy, I can’t wait to wear it to work, church, brunch, or date night!
Dress: size down one.
You’ll see this knit sweater multiple times throughout this try on – it’s so versatile and seems to go with everything! I got it in this cream color as well as a muted yellow which I think is the perfect hue for spring. Now let’s talk about these work pants! They’re actually joggers, but they look so nice in person and feel incredibly comfortable. As a teacher we are not allowed to wear jeans every day, so I am always on the hunt for work pants that aren’t jeans. These are as good as wearing sweats, but way more stylish (and acceptable) for the work place. I got them in both olive green and white (the white isn’t see-through like most white pants, and they’re structured enough to not show all of my lumps and dimples).
Sweater: size up one for oversized fit.
Jogger pants: TTS.
Speaking of joggers, I found another pair in this orange color that legit feel like sweats! So cute. The waist gaps a little, so consider sizing down, but if they fit you well you’ll never want to wear anything else.
Joggers: I’m wearing TTS, but consider sizing down.
Sweater: size up one.
This pink satin slip skirt is soooo cute! Sadly, it’s only available online in plus sizes so I’ve linked identical options from other retailers I love and trust too. Just be sure to read their reviews for sizing info! When in doubt, size up in this type of skirt. I’m showing it here paired with three different sweaters.
Skirt: TTS.
Sweater: size up one.
Neon is having a moment this spring, so it’s time to stock up, ladies! This neon green sweater with bubble sleeves is SO soft. I want to wear it to work, at home, and to sleep haha. The color is really flattering too and always makes people look tan. You can dress it down with jeans or up with a skirt (or place it over a dress and make it look like a skirt).
Sweater: Size up two for oversized fit.
Skirt: TTS
Jeans: Size up one.
These jeans were a totally random win! I love the distressed detailing (not too much) and the color (everything I find these days is super dark). They have the perfect amount of stretch. May fit tts if you don’t have wide hips – you can always order both sizes and return one to be safe!
Sweater: Size up two for oversized fit.
Jeans: Size up one.
This flutter sleeve blouse is so flattering! It comes in tons of colors and is perfect for a classy daytime look or work.
Top: TTS or down if in between sizes.
Jeans: Size up one for hips.
I fell in love with this purple and gray colorblock cardigan! The colors are perfect for spring and the material is super soft.
Cardigan: TTS
Jeans: size up one for hips.
Ignore the top – not a fan so I won’t be recommending.
I’ve seen this kimono a ton on my social ads (they know what I like!) and finally got to try it on. The yellow, pale pink, and floral design is beautiful for the upcoming spring season.
Style tip: kimonos and dusters are the easiest way to bring a simple outfit to the next level. Plus, they are versatile because you can pair them with pretty much any pair of pants, simple tops, skirts, or dresses.
Kimono: one size
Jeans: size up one.
The best high wasited, paperbag shorts are BACK! I found these in a green corduroy material this summer and I’m so happy to see that they’re back in this coral color. It makes you look so tan and the design gives plenty of room for hips. Paperbag waist shorts, pants, and skirts are my favorite way to accentuate a small waist while hiding wider hips and bellies.
Shorts: TTS.
Sweater: size up one for oversized fit.
I found some fun, bright colored sweatshirts that would be perfect while traveling for Spring Break or, for those of us who are regretfully staying put, lounging around the house. The purple tie-dye sweatshirt says “Palm Springs” and the coral sweatshirt reps LA (woo!) The gray and purple sweatpants were comfy, but not as soft as the Stars Above line at Target, so I’d skip them unless you really want to color coordinate.
Sweatshirts: TTS
Sweatpants: I’m wearing TTS, but size down if in between or you like yours more snug.
I hope you’re able to find something you love in today’s budget-friendly spring outfits Target try on haul! I know I sure did 🙂 Which outfit/item was your favorite?? I’m dying to know! Lmk in the comments.
